Mark 1, verses 4 and 5 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins. All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him, “John the Baptist“. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
Verily, John, as well as Prophet Benjamin Cousijnsen today, said that the people had to repent and that God is not pleased with the people.
